Custom Die-Cut Gaskets
Die-cut gaskets feature low setup costs, extreme supply chain flexibility, and allow for design changes without the worry of retooling expenses. When your gasket application requires a non-standard size, shape, or other individualized feature, Ace Seal provides custom die-cutting services to create the exact component demanded by your application. Since 1982, we have been a worldwide leader in sealing solutions for a vast range of industries.
Custom Gasket Cutting Process
Die cutting uses automatic or semi-automatic presses for die and kiss cutting gaskets from rubber or roll stock. We utilize cutting-edge die-cutting equipment to create high-quality, durable gaskets that meet your specifications and exceed your expectations. Our ultra-fast die-cutting equipment produces high-volume production runs of close-tolerance parts with fast turnaround times.

Kiss Cut Gaskets vs. Die Cut Gaskets
While die cutting gaskets and kiss cutting gaskets are both commonly used to produce components, there are slight differences between the two processes. Die cutting gaskets involves cutting through the material entirely to create your specified shape. Kiss cutting, meanwhile, is a much shallower cut. A single layer is cut into the specified shape, but the material backing is left whole. Kiss cutting is particularly useful when applied to materials with an adhesive backing for stick-and-stay gasket options.
Material Options for Custom Die Cut Gaskets
Die-cut gaskets can be fabricated from any quick-cut material, usually from a sheet or roll form. Each application has its own material requirements, including lifespan expectancy, chemical compatibility, application environment, temperature tolerances, pressure resistance, and more. We create custom die-cut gaskets from:
- Nitrile
- Butyl
- Neoprene
- Ethylene-Propylene
- Flourocarbon (Viton®)
- Polyurethane
- Silicone
- Elastomers
- Cork
- And much, much more.
If you are unsure which material best suits your industry or application, the Ace Seal team of experts is here to help. We will work with you to understand the features and characteristics you need and identify the right material for your custom gasket. To begin, use our comparison chart to discover the strengths and limitations of our commonly used materials.
